Native to Eurasia and North Africa, Summer Savory has been used for millennia as a seasoning as well as a medicinal plant. In fact, it was once used in love potions as an aphrodisiac.<\/p>

Savory produces pale pink flowers that are small and fragrant. Its flavor is reminiscent of thyme and oregano with notes of mint. Savory leaves can be used fresh or dry. Native to the Middle East and often called Syrian Oregano, Zaatar is not to be confused with \u201cZa\u2019atar\u201d, which is instead an herbal blend.<\/p>

Use dried or fresh Zaatar leaves as you would oregano. Its flavor is complex and a combination of marjoram, oregano, and thyme – and adds a wonderful herbal zing to dishes.<\/p>

With an appearance similar to oregano with small, fuzzy green leaves. Zaatar has many supposed medicinal properties. Packed with highly nutritious properties, Breen is a romaine lettuce variety, and a good source of: Vitamin A, C and K. Rich source of calcium, phosphorus, magnesium and potassium and more.<\/p>

Breen leaves have olive-green undertones and nicely contrasting veins. They are also firm and crisp with excellent flavor.<\/p>

Salads are not complete if they don\u2019t have these tasty leafy greens.
